SENIOR LECTURER DIAGNOSTIC RADIOGRAPHY
DISCIPLINE OF MEDICAL RADIATION SCIENCES, FACULTY OF HEALTH SCIENCES

The Faculty of Health Sciences is the largest health science faculty in Australia, and is internationally recognised for quality and innovation in teaching and research. This world-class institution is situated on the University’s Cumberland Campus.

 

The Faculty’s Discipline of Medical Radiation Sciences is renowned for its world-leading scientific investigation of a wide range of medical radiation fields. The Discipline attracts high-calibre students, researchers and academics, and has plans for innovative new programs that are taking the Discipline into a new, exciting direction.

 

We are seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer to join the Diagnostic Radiography team to contribute to interdisciplinary research and to teach students at undergraduate and postgraduate level.  You will also enjoy responsibility for coordinating units of study, contributing to curriculum design and development, and the opportunity to supervise and support postgraduate students.

 

To succeed you will have a PhD related to diagnostic radiography and have clinical radiographic experience.  A track record of research demonstrated via academic publications and grant acquisition is required, as is an involvement in relevant professional bodies and networks. As a dedicated facilitator, mentor and educator, you will need to have experience in research-led teaching and the design and development of teaching materials for Diagnostic Radiography students along with previous experience in recruiting and supervising postgraduate students. A willingness to contribute to administrative duties is important as well as having good communication skills.

The position is fulltime, continuing subject to the completion of a satisfactory probation period for new appointees. Membership of a University approved superannuation scheme is a condition of employment for new appointees.

Remuneration package:
 Senior Lecturer Level C: $116 129 – $133 783 (consisting of a base salary $98 131 – $113 151, leave loading and up to 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation).
