The Development Office is responsible for providing the direction, co-ordination and management of the fundraising programs for the University, including running the Sydney Development Fund, managing major gift programs and providing a robust and comprehensive bequest program.

 

The success of fundraising and alumni initiatives of the University depends upon the ability to obtain and maintain accurate data, be it contact details for our alumni, the efficient processing of gifts, or the ability to collect and report comprehensive prospect data.

 

We are currently seeking an individual who will:

 

  • Bring extensive experience in CRM system management
  • Work with development colleagues to mine the alumni CRM database yielding new prospects for all types of fundraising activity 
  • Optimise information shared by the development and alumni offices by streamlining existing processes
  • Find new ways to leverage the alumni database to deliver world-class service to internal stakeholders
  • Provide existing team with information and processes necessary to understand their clients’ requirements (both internal and external) and ensure effective delivery of services at all times.

Reporting to the Director, Development you will be involved in all strategic decision-making for the unit and will be responsible for implementing a strategic plan which ties together the goals and objectives of the Development and Alumni offices.

 

To succeed, it is essential that you have experience in strategic project implementation and project redesign. You will be an accomplished communicator with highly developed leadership skills and a background in the use and execution of sophisticated relational databases and/or web enabled CRM systems. A background in Oracle software systems is desirable.

 

The position is full-time continuing, subject to the completion of a satisfactory probation period for new appointees. Membership of a University approved superannuation scheme is a condition of employment for new appointees.
 

Remuneration package: An attractive remuneration package is available (consisting of a base salary, leave loading and employer’s contribution to superannuation).
