The School of Biomedical, Biomolecular and Chemical Sciences encompasses the Disciplines of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology and Immunology and Physiology. It has a vigorous research culture and a stimulating research environment, supported by peer reviewed national and international grants and it attracts high quality postgraduate students.
The School is seeking to recruit two outstanding researchers to the Discipline of Chemistry, each with a commitment to undergraduate chemistry teaching. As the School is aiming to further strengthen its research environment, particular consideration will be given to those applicants demonstrating the capacity to advance chemistry research at an international level. Applicants must have a PhD or equivalent in Chemistry and will be expected to bring with them established research programs in experimental chemistry, particularly at level C. The Discipline of Chemistry is housed in a new five storey building overlooking the Swan River, and is equipped with state-of-the-art research facilities. With approximately 1,500 undergraduate students each year, the Discipline contributes to teaching in a number of undergraduate programs. Applicants with teaching experience are requested to submit a teaching portfolio as part of their application.
