Murdoch University is located in Perth, Western Australia. The School of Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences has an international reputation for the high quality of its Veterinary Science Program and the undergraduate course is AVMA-accredited. The appointee will become a member of the medicine team which will comprise two academic positions, one senior registrar and two residents. The appointee will be expected to provide leadership in teaching and research related to small animal medicine. A degree in Veterinary Science registrable in Western Australia, a PhD or other postgraduate or professional specialist qualifications (e.g. Dip ECVIM, DipACVIM) is essential, as is recent experience in veterinary medicine. Contribution to the medicine service at Murdoch University Veterinary Hospital and participation in the after-hours roster is required. A high level of written and oral communication skills and recent experience in teaching at the undergraduate and postgraduate level are also essential.
